Lose 15 pounds in 2-4 weeks?

I'm thirteen years old, around 5'2" and weigh about 136 lbs. 1) What is a realistic weight goal to get me more...in shape and healthy?2) How long should my gym workout be? Usually I bike for half an hour and lift weights for like 15 minutes. (I go about 3-4 times a week)Any other diet tips would be appreciated. =)

weightloss is simple math, 1 pound = 3500 calories. You can subtract those cals from what you eat, or exercize them off. This is why it is safe for people to only try to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
im not a big dieter but i do like to go kickboxing every week. that helps a lot. so does cutting down on sweets, mainly sodas for me.
15 lbs in 2 weeks is only possible in lipo...
atkins diet works really good. i am 12 and 5'2" and weighed 120 and i lost 10 pounds in just 2 weeks. also you could add 50 crunches and 50 push ups to your workout to get muscle strength
this isnt realistic or healthy for you. Plan on losing 2 lbs a week at the most. I would say 6 weeks time should be the soonest that you lose that weight. Don't drink ANY soda, increase your veggies and fruit...salads. Drink plenty of water. As far as the weight lifting goes, unless you know what you are doing you may even have some weight gain when lifting. I would stick to cardio while trying to lose weight.

Running around the block 3 laps in the morning and 3 laps evening. [no water or food within 15 mins after workout]I lost one pound every 2 days and lost 4 pounds in a week.every time i get hungry i just drink water, workout again so my stored fat in my body will burn energy to distribute around my body, rather than consuming new food. Or make sure you are fully occupied doing something to keep your mind off cravings. Shopping and going out worked for me.
If you are 13 it is healthy to be the weight that you are. It is very unhealthy especially for a young girl like you to loose that amount of weight in a short period of time. It is only healthy to loose a pound a week. Even when you are on a diet you can always gain that weight because your body is trying to react to the stimulance. If your insecure about your body you can join weight watchers. It really does help. Go walking eat 6 small meals a day and you'll be fit soon enough. Try watching a pilates tape. There is no pressure for a person as young as you are to loose weight. Being confident is the most important thing, if you are confident and like yourself then you'll be feeling skinnier and happier. Don't discourage yourself! Good Luck!
if you go to a gym, the should have a machine and i think its called like a stider. it burns calories 10 times faster than a tredmile or a bike. if you dont go to a gym, start. i suggest 24 hour fitness. they are great! they even have yoga and polatis (spelled right??)
anyway, im trying to loose weight as well, but in a healthy way.. good luck to ya girl! but to loose 15 pounds that fast... ughh the only thing i can think of would be to go on marthas vineyard detox diet, and basically, you dont eat anything for 21 days, but you get all the nutrients you need in these packets that you put in like water. i think its about 200 bucks for all the supplies but its "loose 21 pounds in 21 days.." my mom let me do it.. Before you start any weight loss program it is recommended to see your doctor. It is important especially if you have not finished your physical growing process. Your weight "problem" could be related to hormonal imbalance which is easy to control.
The best workout is still walking for at least thirty minutes a day and swimming. Going to the gym is good if you want to build up muscle and/or tone up or if you are on a special program ordered by a physician. Don't forget muscle can turn into fat if you stop exercising but fat cannot turn into muscle. Fat cells stay with you, they only shrink when you diet and fill up when you go back to your "normal" eating habits.
how many weight exercises can you do in only 15 minutes?? i dont think you are gonna get anywhere with that short of time. i'm trying to loose stomach fat and its going good for me. i run a mile every day except for sunday. i lift weights monday through saturday. i do legs mon, wed, fri for 2 hours, and arms tues, thurs, sat for an hour. dont over intake your daily need of calories. that is a great way to gain more weight. that is my workout though for baseball. the key for you to loose stomach fat is to do lots and lots of aerobic exercises such as running, walking, cycling, and even jump roping. some people say to just do ab workouts. thats not going to do anything except build muscle, there is still going to be fat on top of it. aerobic exercises and eating right are the key. good luck to you.
