please help me!
Answer:
When you eat less calories than you burn, you will lose weight. It doesn't matter if it is carrot sticks - eat more than you burn in a day and you will gain weight. The potato toppings are nothing more than added calories. The more calories that you add on top of eating more than you burn in a day simply means that you will gain weight faster. Get it? I could feed you candy bars dipped in lard and help you lose weight. It doesn't matter what kind of food it is. I could also feed you celery and carrots and cause you to gain weight and get fat - if you eat more calories than you burn in a day.
You need to question what weight loss is to you. Will you be satisfied with your appearance once you get there? I am a personal trainer, and I could tell you that the answer is "no" most of the time. Once you lose the weight you want to lose, you will look in the mirror and feel that you need to look more tone. Your waist will still be larger than you want it to be and you will not like the shape your body is in (especially with less clothing). There is only one right way to do it and below is a few major variables that you need to do it right.
Ask yourself this - do you want to just lose weight or do you want to lose (much) more fat than muscle? The more muscle you burn, the slower your metabolism becomes for one, since calories are burnt through usage of the muscle. The more muscle you have firing, the faster you burn calories; the faster your metabolism. Keeping your muscle while dieting will also make a huge difference as to how you look when you achieve your weight loss goal - and adding a bit will work wonders.People want to lose "pounds." Here is something to consider. Bare with it if it becomes confusing and be comforted in the fact that simple directions follow even if you do not understand some of what you read immediately below. One pound of FAT = 3500 caloriesOne pound of LEAN MUSCLE = roughly 2500-3000 calories (varies due to hydration).See? Potentially, you could burn 2500 calories and lose a pound of muscle, or you could burn 3500 calories to lose a pound of fat, or you could burn the two in different proportions, meaning you could burn anywhere in the range of 2500-3500 calories and lose a "pound." Surely you want to burn fat and hold onto as much muscle as you can. The best defense to ensure this, generally speaking, is to eat protein with every meal. Why? To spare your body from losing muscle, which IS protein. If your body needs amino acids for energy (muscle is made up of protein and protein is made up of amino acids) it will eat the protein that you feed it rather than breaking down your muscles for energy. Therefore, you stand a better chance of maintaining your muscle.
A safe place to start is to first determine the amount of calories that you currently burn. The first step is to go to a calculator on a website (search for "calorie counter" on Google). That will give you a rough estimate. Next, subtract 500 calories from that to put you on pace to lose one pound of fat per week (-500 calories times 7 days equals -3500 calories per week = one pound of fat loss.) Remember, eat protein with every meal. Generally speaking, you should eat roughly 20-35 grams to be safe. If you find that you are losing more than one pound per week, that means that you are losing muscle. If this is the case, you can take another step that will ensure that you will minimize muscle loss.To ensure you are burning fat and not muscle as you restrict your calories, you should exercise since your body is adaptive. This means that to keep muscle, you have to give your body a reason to do so such as working out. If you work the muscle, your body basically says, "We have to hold onto the muscle to do all of this work, so we can't burn it for energy. We'll have to use the fat, as it is less important to our survival." Hence, you get lean and reach the image you have in your mind; your goal. Trust me! In most cases the end result of "losing weight" doesn't look good. You can disguise it in clothes and other out of shape people may think you look "great," but nothing beats a fit body. It doesn't have to be an extreme physique, like in the magazines, but a little exercise goes a long way with proper dieting. And you will realize countless benefits, in addition to enhanced good looks!Good Luck
walking won't help lose weight, in fact walking is not an officla exercise, well except for old peopleGo do some running better
im 16, 5"4 and i weigh 118 pounds. I eat alot but i swim really hard every morning! just walk more and maybe pick up swimming!
char bottle kuch nahi hai, dus bottle piyo(Sorry that was my hindi) ok you need to work out everyday preferabally jog rather than walk. Women tend to gain fat in the thigh area first so you need to stop meat ( I am assuming you are muslim) then wokrout.
For starters, you have to eat breakfast because that will kick start yout metabolic rate. Lot's of fresh veggies and the walking should help you see some good results by the end of summer. Aslo, when walking make sure that your pace is constant after the warm-up. Whatever pace you begin with, maintain it for at least 30 minutes. Good Fortune!
I am doing great on a fat gram diet-so much easier than no carb and all that. I don't eat less just different. Only 25 fat grams a day. For example-light yogurt like Yoplait= 0 but a hamburger patty can be about 8. Veges-steamed=0 etc. Go to the bookstore and get a book-they have little ones you can carry in your purse for about 5.00. I also am walking (heat here too so 6;30 AM) about 2.5 miles 5-6 days a week per the doc. You MUST keep your heart rate up at least for 20 minutes or your getting healthier but not burning. The water is good. The little books will give you more ideas. This is the best diet I've ever done and easy to do with my family etc. Its been 6 weeks and I've lost inches,my clorestarol count is down and 11 lbs. I know it will stay off.
Try to boost up your cardio. Do more walking at a faster pace, say 4 miles an hour. Not really that fast actually. Or do some running. I'd say do about 2-4 miles a day. It really does a difference, and you will see it at a maximum of 2 weeks after starting. Try doing squats too. Do 10 reps of ten a day. You will feel it in your legs and it will work. The summer is not almost half way over at all. You already look fine.Good luck and be happy in HS, I'm a fresh in 2007 too.
First, eat breakfast and lunch if you can. Don't skip meals! All you need to eat is like a bowl of ceral and a sandwich (or whatever). It's not good for your stomach, and this way you won't over eat at dinner.
The water is great drink plenty of water. Keep that up. It's great. I strongly reccomend that you keep away from soda and other unhealthy beverages.
It will also help if you don't snack.
As for your workout, I reccomend joining a gym. It will give a cool place to work out and the cardio machines (treadmill, stairmaster, bike) will help you gain muscle in your thighs and reduce their size. If you can't get to a gym I reccomend biking. Walking isn't quite enough exercise. Make sure to work your hardest and I reccomend 2-3 miles a day (more or less depending on the effort and resstence on your bike course) running may help too.
Remember to drink plenty of water if you go outside in the heat.
Ik it's a lot but I'm trying to lose weight like you are. I'm in the same boat. It's a lot of work, but think how great you will feel when you look great going into high school. You should probably aim to lose it little by little each week. Good luck! I hope you succeed! ^-^
im pakistani too and my parents eat food like that.
dont eat it dont!
its fat and oily!
eat cearel 3 time a day and have snacks in between liek gronola bars or carrots.
To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
