I'm overweight, but the thing I find weird is, why? I don't over-eat, I actually eat about one small meal a day because I'm not ever hungry. I work out 5 days a week for about 2 to 3 hours a day. Once I did try diet pills for about 2 months and lost about 30 pounds, but still stayed in the overweight range (never gained back the weight). I did a test and found out I had 140 pounds of muscle, water, bone. And the normal weight I'm supposed to be to be healthy is 186. My weight is 224, so what's up? The only weight I ever do usually lose is water weight after working out and sweating, but we all know that comes back by the end of the day. Anything I can try to actually start losing weight?
Answer:
"I actually eat about one small meal a day"i believe that this has something to do with it, You body does not get nearly enough nutrients, and what energy supplies it does get it holds on to much harder. You need to speed up your metabolism, eat three small meals a day and your body will probably allow excess energy to be burnt
Try eating Low Gylcemic index food.Eating a lot of high GI foods can be detrimental to your health because it pushes your body to extremes. This is especially true if you are overweight and sedentary. Switching to eating mainly low GI carbs that slowly trickle glucose into your blood stream keeps your energy levels balanced and means you will feel fuller for longer between meals.
o Low GI diets help people lose and control weight
o Low GI diets increase the body's sensitivity to insulin
o Low GI carbs improve diabetes control
o Low GI carbs reduce the risk of heart disease
o Low GI carbs reduce blood cholesterol levels
o Low GI carbs can help you manage the symptoms of PCOS
o Low GI carbs reduce hunger and keep you fuller for longer
o Low GI carbs prolong physical endurance
o High GI carbs help re-fuel carbohydrate stores after exercise

You are eating too few meals and too few calories. Your body has to wait for along time to be fed again. And it is storing the fats for later use.First, make sure you cut or reduce sugar intake, cut out all simple carbos and switch to complex carbos. Eat your veggies and some fruits. Eat protein as they fill you up, give you energy and satisfy you so that you do not go searching for food.Chinese tea (without sugar) can help in your weight loss provided your diet is right.I did that, and I am able to eat low fat yoghurt, ocassional dark chocolates, cheesecake and home made oat cookies and still lost 14 kg in a year. I am now maintaining between 40 to 51 kg. My blog tells you my experiences and what I eat. http://lowcarblowfathighfibrehighprotein...
