I've been lifting some weights and doing some boxing training but haven't really figured out anything for my legs accept skipping or running. Any ideas appreciated.

Squats and lunges are the best exercise for legs. Also do a few calf raises, so that you can have nice, defined calf muscles.
lie on your back and lift up your left leg, put it down, then your right then both, do this cycle and it will strengthen your leg muscles
Why would you rule out running? If you have some physical defect, perhaps cycling would be a good alternative...
I'm 10K runner and i do wear sox filled with sand in plastic bags fixed with bondage, like 3 Pound per leg, and exercise at home or jogging 3 miles every second day..it is very effective.good luck!

Squats %26 Burpees... also try swimming with flippers on and kicking with a kickboard! Great exercise!
