hallo.i've figured that i can't consume any dairy product that contains lactose without having reactions of what a lactose intolerant person might have.i want to know if i'm actually lactose intolerant. i used to drink milk before, but now, i can't. my parents never were lactose intolerant. does that make me one?
Answer:
I don't know the answer, but I could have written this question. Same boat! It's so weird for me...I used to drink alot of milk, eat ice cream, cheese, anything dairy didn't bother me. Now I can eat only hard cheeses in moderation. The slightest bit of milk or ice cream has me doubled over in pain.
one simple way of thinking is this. We as a human race progress and evolved drinking milk and ingesting lactose products way before the term "lactose intolerant" came upon the scene. i have heard more than one doctor say the lactose intolerant thing is untrue...that being said you may want to do one of the following:1. Look at what else you eat or ingest surrounding the periods of lactose containing products. Could they be causing it?2. consult a doctor and find out for sure. No number of keyboard jockeys (including myself) can even come close to diagnosing anything form the rear side of our keyboards.3. Are you ingesting the dairy type products on severely hot days? (milk will curdle in the stomach and make you sick)anyways.
a simple way to see if you are is to stop eating and drinking dairy products for a while a few weeks should do it and in the mean time use soya products, then go back to the milk for 5 dyas if you have any more reactions they its very likely ur have an intolorance
also keep in mind 500ml should be around the mark of dairy you should consume so it could just be you have to much.
try that method i suggested and see how it goes

Don't all dairy products contain lactose? I drink soy milk. It's better for me, the cows (and the calves) and the environment. The organic soy milk I buy is also fre of junk like pesticideds and hormones.
